Technical fault clogs Adelaide airport during busy Saturday rush

Hundreds of travellers going through Adelaide’s airport have been left stranded in lines and fearing they could miss their flight as a technical fault causes chaos for early commuters.
A technical fault hit Adelaide Airport on Saturday morning, leading to lengthy queues forming at check-in as passengers struggled to get their luggage screened.

Adelaide airport is Australia’s fifth-largest domestic and international carrier, with more than 8.7 million people travelling through each year.
According to The Advertiser, the fault came as a newly installed checked-bag screen system failed to activate property on Saturday.
While no flights were believed to have been delayed, the incident caused widespread frustration among passengers.
An Adelaide Airport spokeswoman has apologised to affected customers.
“Adelaide Airport has this morning experienced a technical problem with its baggage check-in system,” she told The Advertiser.
“While the problem is being resolved, customers are being redirected to oversized baggage.
“Adelaide Airport staff are on hand to assist customers.”
