Perth traffic: Multi-vehicle crash on Mitchell Freeway in Alkimos causes festive chaos, delays

There has been multiple vehicles involved in a crash on Mitchell Freeway northbound at the exit to Romeo Road in Alkimos.

Early reports indicated that at least three vehicles were involved, with two on their sides.

The right lane was initially blocked.

Emergency services have now cleared the wreckage and traffic is flowing.

Main Roads WA has warned motorists to drive with caution in the area.

A crash on Malaga Drive in Noranda is also causing traffic to bank up.

It is not known how many lanes are affected but motorists should take care.

A truck breakdown on Leach Highway eastbound at North Lake in Melville has resulted in the closure of the middle lane.

Incident response officers are on site. Traffic is busy on approach.

An earlier truck breakdown in Kardinya has been cleared.

The truck had blocked the middle lane of South Street westbound at North Lake.
