Caitlyn Rintoul is an award-winning Australian journalist and federal political reporter for The West Australian and Seven West Media, based in Canberra. Originally from rural Western Australia, she covers federal politics, public policy, national affairs, and investigative stories. She is recognised for impactful investigative reporting, including work on sexual harassment and assault in Australia’s resources sector that helped prompt a parliamentary inquiry. Her journalism has earned recognition at the Walkley Awards and WA Media Awards. Prior to her current role, Rintoul reported on health, crime, courts, and state politics, and served as Chief of Staff at The Sunday Times. Her work has also appeared across major Australian outlets including The Nightly, PerthNow, The Sydney Morning Herald, and The Age.
