Gold Smirch made it back-to-back wins with a runaway victory in the 400m Free For All at Greyhounds WA Mandurah last Friday.

The Tony Scott-trained chaser was undaunted in her first attempt in the top class and produced her biggest win to date.

Gold Smirch began fairly from box eight to land midfield in the early stages.

With room to run on the outside, she quickly clicked up to high gear and mowed down the leading Elite Deluxe before kicking away to a big advantage.

Gold Smirch hit the finish line nearly five lengths ahead of eventual runner-up Sheeran Melody in 22.41.

The result improved Gold Smirch’s record to 10 wins from 17 career starts.

Gold Smirch was one of three winners on the night for Scott, along with Just Too Good and Blue Lace.

Just Too Good notched her first win since March in the 300m Grade 6, while Blue Lace collected her second win from her past three starts with an all-the-way effort in the Mixed 5/6 Grade over 300m.
