A change of plan is poised to pose no obstacle to Tuileries claiming a maiden Group 1 in the $700,000 Tatts Tiara (1400m) at Eagle Farm on Saturday.

The four-year-old was initially scheduled to run in the Dane Ripper (1400m) a fortnight ago.

But with inclement conditions, Peter Snowden chose to preserve the So You Think mare for this race instead in hopes of a better-rated track.

However, that means she hasn’t raced in five weeks since scoring the Dark Jewel (1400m) at Scone.

“I’m not too worried about it. She did trial the week before the Dane Ripper. It’s not as though she hasn’t been to the races or trials,” Snowden said.

“She’s been up in Brisbane the past two weeks and did a strong bit of work on Tuesday morning when she went very well.

“I’m quietly confident she will run well, and the good draw (three) will help.”

This season, the bay has already landed two Group 3s and as many placings in stakes races.

She is looking to follow in the footsteps of acclaimed stablemate Tashi, who won this race 12 months ago.

“They’re similar. Tashi had run about seven placing in stakes races and never won one, and that was her maiden black-type win,” he said.

“This filly has won a few stakes races, but it’s her first crack at a Group 1.

“We have always liked her so it’s good to see her get to this sort of class now.”

Tuileries is a $6.50 chance and shares the second line of betting with previous Group 1 winner Manaal.

Ahead of them in the betting are Splash Back and Gerringong who share the $6 favouritism tag.

Splash Back is a proven winner having taken eight of her 22 starts, while Gerringong has saluted only twice from 14 appearances and five runner-up showings.

The former was a bold sixth in the Stradbroke Handicap (1400m) on the same day as the Dane Ripper, where Gerringong was second behind She’s Got Pizzazz, who does not re-oppose.

Within The Law ($9) is the remaining runner under double-digit odds after slashing runs at her last two starts, though she does drop from a mile back to 1400m.

Super Smink ($31) will carry the weight of WA with Lucy Fiore aboard as she concludes a long campaign across Australia.

The five-year-old won the Group 3 R N Irwin (1100m) in Adelaide before continuing onto Queensland where she has finished 11th in the Helen Coughlan (1200m) and sixth in the Dane Ripper (1300m) prior to this.

Earlier, the Chris Waller-trained and Great British-bred Sun God ($2.35f) leads the market for the 2026 Battle Of The Bush Final (1600m).
