A West Coast Eagles player turned WAFL star has become a dad for the first time following the birth of his daughter this month.

Jack Petruccelle, who was delisted by West Coast in 2025 and now plays for Subiaco in the WAFL, took to social media to announce the birth of his first child, a little girl named Rowe Jacqueline.

“Welcome to the world, our little girl!” he wrote in an Instagram post shared on Thursday.

The adorable post included several photos of Rowe, including her being held by Petruccelle and nursed by his partner, Montana Bryan.

The 26-year-old footy player said his “dad strength” was now “unlocked”.

“However, I will never be stronger than @montanabryan_, so proud of you throughout this whole journey and looking forward to the continued journey together,” he wrote.

His former Eagles teammates flooded the comments section with well-wishes for the new parents.

Oscar Allen, now playing for the Brisbane Lions, and his wife, Lorna, said, respectively: “How good!!! Congrats guys” and “Amazing congratulations guys”.

Elliot Yeo, Brady Hough, Greg Clark, Josh Rotham, Zane Trew and Jake Waterman also congratulated the happy couple.

Rowe’s birth comes after Petruccelle and Bryan got engaged in February last year.

The WAFLW starts on Saturday, before the WAFL gets underway six days later starting with Peel Thunder taking on East Fremantle in Mandurah on Friday.

Subiaco and East Perth will round out a bumper opening day with a twilight match at Sullivan Logistics Stadium with the first ball up at 4.10pm, before West Perth host Claremont in the standalone Saturday match up in Joondalup at 3.30pm.

The Lions loom as one of the biggest unknowns given the plethora of recruits including former Richmond defender Jacob Blight, Petruccelle and returning Bernie Naylor medallist Ben Sokol.
