2026 West Coast Eagles calendar: Jeremy McGovern and Liam Ryan included, Harley Reid notably absent
West Coast’s official 2026 wall calendar may need a re-print, with two departed players included and a high-profile star nowhere to be seen.
The calendar, available in the Eagles Super Store and the AFL Store, features retired club great Jeremy McGovern and recently departed premiership forward Liam Ryan among 12 players to be highlighted across each month of the year.
McGovern’s decorated career officially came to an end in June after he was forced into medical retirement following a head knock a month prior.
Ryan requested a trade to St Kilda in August, with the high-flyer sealing the move during this month’s trade period.
Clearly planned out in the early part of the year, the calendar also notably fails to feature Harley Reid, who is West Coast’s most marketable and recognisable player by some distance.
Reid re-signed with the Eagles in August after significant conjecture around his future and whether he would be lured back to his home state of Victoria in the face of massive rival offers.
Liam Baker, Jake Waterman and Reuben Ginbey all feature in the calendar, but there was no room for outgoing co-captain Oscar Allen.
Allen only officially declared his intention to head to Brisbane in August, but news of his meeting with Hawthorn coach Sam Mitchell emerged early in the season to pave the way for his eventual exit.
