Bunbury man Trevor Andrew Foster back in court accused of alleged FVRO breaches after previously avoiding jail

A Bunbury man who narrowly avoided jail after making threats to stab his ex-partner and have others “flog her”, and visiting her home multiple times, has been brought back to court over further alleged breaches. Trevor Andrew Foster appeared in Bunbury Magistrates Court via videolink from Bunbury Regional Prison on Thursday where he was charged with 55 counts of breaching a family violence restraining order, pursuing another with an intent to intimidate, and cannabis possession. It is alleged Mr Foster, who was previously placed on a 15-month conditional suspended imprisonment order and subject to electronic monitoring, was initially brought into custody after he was caught with an unknown amount of cannabis. However, Mr Foster had since been charged with numerous breaches of a family violence restraining order with the breaches allegedly occurring between April 16 and May 4. The new charges were adjourned for Mr Foster to obtain further legal advice. In April, Mr Foster was placed on the 15-month conditional suspended imprisonment order after he admitted eight counts of breaching a family violence restraining order that concerned his former partner, making a threat to unlawfully do an act, and pursuing another to intimidate. During that hearing, the court was told of Mr Foster breaching the restraining order less than a week after it was served on him by showing up to the victim’s house to yell abuse and sending hundreds of threatening text messages over several hours, as well as a further incident where he approached the victim and their daughter while they walked their dog. Mr Foster was remanded in custody, with his next court appearance scheduled for August 15.
