An urgent search in Bunbury for missing 12-year-old Nate Horton has ended after he was found at a pizza restaurant after a distressing seven hour search.

When Nate failed to return home from Bunbury Skate park on Sunday, where he was last seen at 1.30pm, his mother Matilda Monagle alerted police and posted to Facebook asking if anyone had seen him and that he may have taken a wrong turn on the way home.

“Has anyone seen my son Nate Horton was walking home from town (skate park) and should have been home by now. I think he might have taken a wrong turn,” she said.

His father Steven Horton also posted, “Nate was possibly seen around park centre trying to order food. He has no money.”

Dozens of concerned locals began searching on foot and in their cars.

At about 8pm he was found at Last Slice Sports Bar in Bunbury.

Mr Horton updated his post thanking the community for searching for his son.

“Nate has been found . Thankyou everyone so much for looking for our boy.”
