Busselton recorded their biggest win of the year at the weekend with a 105-point thrashing of Harvey-Brunswick-Leschenault. The Magpies travelled to Brunswick on Saturday with their side close to full strength and led at every quarter to beat the Lions 16.9 (105) to no score. The visitors had seven individual goal kickers throughout the match with Christie Daniels kicking five majors and Mia Dronow booting four. Daniels was named best on ground for her five-goal haul, with Ellie Drown, Katisha Barrett, Katie-Jayne Grieve and Gemma Wharton also named in the best for their work around the ground. Meanwhile, Tessa Kongras, Bree Hurrell, Hayley Murfit, Cassandra Offer, Tia Holt and Sienna Guidi were all recognised for their tireless efforts for the Lions. HBL did their best to stay in the contest early and only trailed 5.6 (36) to no score at half time, but began to tire in the second half. The Magpies kicked 11 goals in the final two quarters to run away with the win, with several players cashing in to score late in the game.
