Donnybrook recorded a big win at home over Carey Park at the weekend to end the home and away season for 2022 and give themselves plenty of confidence heading into the SWFL finals series.

Playing in their last home game for the year, the Dons bid farewell to VC Mitchell Park with a resounding 11.7 (73) to 1.0 (6) win.

Donnybrook sped out of the gate and led 3.2 (20) to no score at the first break before kicking the exact same score in the second term to lead 6.4 (40) to no score at half time.

Star forward Bethany Bond played her best game for the Dons and kicked six goals to be named best on ground.

In the midfield, Dons guns Matilda Worsfold, Taneika Handley and Charli Wicksteed provided plenty of run and drive to give their side first use of the ball going forward.

After half-time, Chloe Pumphrey, Halle Phillips and Holly Bilcich began to get to work for Carey Park to try to chip away at the margin.

Kate Fielding hit the board for the Panthers, but the Dons were able to incredibly kick the same score in the third term to lead 9.6 (60) to 1.0 (6) heading into the last.

The Dons were able to keep the Panthers scoreless once again in the final term to take the win and leapfrog the Harvey Bulls to move to third on the ladder.

Donnybrook will travel to Busselton on Saturday to face the Harvey Bulls in the first final for 2022, with the winner set to play the loser of Bunbury and Busselton.
