WA COVID exposure sites: Bunbury Passenger Terminal listed as potential exposure site

There are fears COVID could have spread to the South West, after three locations in Bunbury were listed among exposure sites on Wednesday night.

Premier Mark McGowan revealed the news just after 8pm.

Among the sites listed were the Bunbury Passenger Terminal and Wyalup/Rocky Point Carpark.

The news comes after WA recorded two new locally transmitted cases of COVID on Wednesday.

The first of the new infections is a close contact of the French backpacker who brought the virus to WA and also attended the Perth Mess Hall rave on December 19.

The second case, already in hotel quarantine, is a woman who was staying at a Fremantle backpackers that accounted for around 100 of the party goers at the Perth Mess Hall event.
