Collection of child-like sex dolls with missing limbs uncovered at Perth home, Innaloo man charged

Authorities have uncovered a shocking collection of child-like sex dolls at a Perth home after they intercepted a disturbing package sent from China. The West Australian can reveal a 54-year-old man from Innaloo is facing five charges over the discovery following a joint investigation by the Australian Federal Police and Australian Border Force officials which began in September last year. ABF staff intercepted a suspicious package allegedly ordered from China by the man before the contents were identified as a child-like sex doll. Investigators then executed a search warrant at the man’s home on October 9, 2024, before they discovered a further three dolls. It is understood some of the dolls found at his home were missing limbs. Others were dressed in children’s clothing and wigs when discovered. After having multiple devices seize and the case referred to the WA joint anti child exploitation team — compromising of both AFP and WA Police officers — investigators allegedly found child abuse material on a laptop. The accused will face the Perth Magistrates Court on Friday charged with three counts of possessing a child-like sex doll, one count of attempting to possess a doll and a child abuse material offence. Each of the charges carries a maximum penalty of 15 years jail. AFP Acting Inspector Fleur Jennings said the dolls were legally classified as child exploitation material, with offenders facing serious consequences. “These dolls are far from harmless,” Insp. Jennings said. “The evidence is clear the dolls are not used as a substitute for offending against real children, but in fact contribute to increased offending against children, including viewing of online child abuse material and contact sexual offending. “The AFP will pursue any form of child exploitation or activity that encourages or reinforces the sexual abuse of children, which includes using items such as these dolls, which are legally classified as child exploitation material.” ABF superintendent James Payne said his officers were committed to stopped abuse material, including dolls, from entering the community, . “We are resolute in our commitment to seize any forms of child abuse material at the border, and we work side by side out law enforcement partners to ensure those responsible are prosecuted,” Supt. Payne said.
