Police stumble across second cannabis crop while raiding neighbour’s house in Capel

Police have seized a significant amount of cannabis plants in Capel after discovering a second hydroponic set up while searching a neighbouring property.

Police raided the Tucker Street home this morning and while in the backyard, officers noticed a second crop in a house next door.

Extra officers were called to the area as police turned their attention to the second home.

Four young children were among a group of people home when the second house was searched.

The children could be seen watching on as police got to work.

The exact quantity of plants found is yet to be confirmed, but police removed several bags of plant material from both properties.

Residents at both homes are helping police with their inquiries.
