Harvey-Benger fourth grade lose 7-0 to be bowled out for 28 against second-placed Marist

Harvey-Benger fourth grade had a day to forget at home on Saturday against second placed Marist. The home side were 1-11 when Nigel Hill hit Kirk Ugle over his head for six to give them hope this could be their day. Unfortunately, they soon learnt it wasn’t. Hill fell for 16 after trying to repeat his big hitting heroics against James Wallam, which brought Adrian Kirk to the crease to join Hamish Minton. The pair put on four runs in what would be the third highest partnership of the day. Kirk fell for three and Minton was removed for four before the Harvey-Benger side recorded six consecutive ducks. Harvey-Benger lost 7-0 to go from 2-27 to 9-27 before Joryn Scarlett-Fucile cover drove a full toss for one to move the total to 28. Scarlett-Fucile was bowled in the next over for one and Marist went on to win by 10 wickets. Harvey-Benger will be hoping to bounce back when the play last-placed Collie next week.
