Eastern Goldfields Hockey Association’s J7-9 girls’ team racked-up an impressive four wins before being pipped on Wednesday by Melville for the division two honours at the Fuel To Go junior championships in Perth.
The local side recorded victories against Busselton, Geraldton, Eastern Districts, and Avon before falling just short against Melville in the final, 1-0.
It was an impressive start for four local teams at the series and on Wednesday the EGHA’s J7-9 boys side beat UWA and drew with Busselton.
EGHA is next week also being represented by J10-12 girls and J10-12 boys’ teams.
