The second man accused of committing a series of robberies in Perth and the South West over three days is set to fight charges of aggravated robbery and arson. Bryce Graham Heard, 24, appeared in Bunbury Magistrate’s Court via video link on Thursday, April 14 and entered formal pleas to two of his 20 charges. Mr Heard pleaded not guilty to an allegation of setting a silver Volvo sedan on fire in Butler on October 17, as well as a further allegation of stealing a silver Ford Focus with violence in Madeley. Mr Heard also entered endorsed pleas of guilty to several charges including two counts of stealing a motor vehicle, 11 counts of stealing, three counts of trespassing, and attempted stealing. The aggravated robbery and arson charges were committed to the Bunbury District Court for a trial listing hearing on June 22. Mr Heard was remanded in custody. It was alleged Mr Heard committed a series of burglaries over the space of three days in October, with the alleged incidents taking place in Davenport, Roelands, South Perth, Butler, Alkimos, Jindalee, Joondalup and Madeley. Co-accused Robert David Whitbread previously pleaded guilty to all of his charges.
