Bunbury man Rodney McMillan to fight child sex charges dating back to 1980s

A Bunbury man has declared he will fight historic accusations of exposing himself and indecently dealing with children aged under 14 years. Rodney McMillan appeared in Bunbury Magistrate’s Court on Monday where he pleaded not guilty to four counts of unlawfully and indecently dealing with a child aged under 14 years, along with two counts of committing an indecent act likely to insult or offend another person. It was alleged Mr McMillan indecently dealt with two girls in East Bunbury on an unknown date between January 1, 1982 and December 31, 1983. Mr McMillan was also accused of exposing himself to one of them on an unknown date between January 1, 1982 and December 31, 1986 as well as a third girl on an unknown date between December 31, 1983 and December 31, 1985. It was alleged all of the offending took place in East Bunbury. The matters were committed to the District Court and adjourned to June 22 for a trial listing hearing, with Mr McMillan’s bail, which included protective conditions for the alleged victims, extended.
