Farmers thank community for support over lost dog

Zach RelphSouth Western Times

A Roelands farmer and his wife have thanked the South West community for supporting the cause to try and find their lost kelpie.

Tom and Margaret Rose regrettably told the South Western Times yesterday Scrar had been found dead next to the train tracks near the Coalfields Highway turn-off on South Western Highway.

Mrs Rose said a train operator contacted them, after hearing about the couple’s plea last week.

Mrs Rose said her and Mr Rose received many concerned calls in regard to Scrar’s whereabouts and they lauded everyone for the effort.

Scrar had not been seen since Mr Rose left her in a kennel at his property on Kelly Road in Roelands on February 9.
