SWFL 2022: Carey Park and Donnybrook set for tense clash on Saturday night

Carey Park will host Donnybrook on Saturday night in an important match-up for both sides’ finals chances. The Panthers currently sit in eighth on the ladder on 10 points, while the Dons are in seventh on 12 meaning the clash could have massive ramifications for both sides’ hopes to stay in touch with the top five. Carey Park have not won a game since beating Busselton in round five, with a series of close ones going against them in recent weeks. The Panthers ran out of legs in round seven against South Bunbury, before going down to the Eaton Boomers in the wet in round eight. In the last two weeks, Carey Park have drawn with Harvey-Brunswick-Leschenault and lost to the Harvey Bulls by just three points, both matches they could live to rue down the stretch. Meanwhile, Donnybrook have had a tough run in their last six games after starting the season 2-0. The Dons beat the Collie Eagles and HBL in the first two rounds, but have since played every team in the top five, with a win against Harvey Bulls their only refuge. The match will be played at Kelly Park on Saturday, with bouncedown due for 4.40pm.
