SWFL women’s 2022: Carey Park look to continue rise up the ladder with win over Harvey-Brunswick-Leschenault

Carey Park will be expecting to continue their rise up the SWFL ladder when they face the lowly Harvey-Brunswick-Leschenault at Kelly Park on Saturday. The Panthers sit in sixth on the ladder with two victories, while the Lions are in second last with just one win for the year over bottom-placed Dunsborough. But a win for Carey Park could get them within touching distance of the top four, with fifth-placed Donnybrook, who are one win ahead of the Panther, playing titans South Bunbury. Third- and fourth-placed Busselton and Harvey Bulls both have byes. The Panthers were able to hold on against the Eaton Boomers at the weekend with a two-point win which shot them into sixth. With the scores tied at half-time, Carey Park kicked 1.2 to 1.0 in the final term to claim the 4.2 (26) to 3.6 (24) win. Bouncedown will be at 3:10 pm at Kelly Park on Saturday.
