Crown theatres Disney inspired Beauty and the Beast joins forces with Telethon to raise money for sick kids

Forget fairytale endings, this is a magical beginning.
TV’s beloved bedtime mascot, Fat Cat, is stepping onto the Crown Theatres red carpet alongside Disney’s very own furry prince, to make a real difference for WA’s sick kids.
The spectacular new production of Beauty and the Beast is joining forces with Telethon in a bid to raise money for the 26-hour event.
Currently enchanting audiences at Crown Theatre as the final stop on its record-breaking Australian tour, the show is now adding a heartwarming new chapter to its story.
As of September 22, audiences will not only be swept away by the beloved musical but will also have a chance to give back.

In a truly unique and playful twist, the Australian cast — in full, majestic costume — will be in the theatre foyer after each performance to assist with Telethon donation collections.
Adding to the star-studded line-up will be everyone’s favourite furry friend, Fat Cat.
The iconic Telethon mascot is set to make special appearances in the foyer after the matinee performances on September 27 and 28, to help drum up donations and delight families.
The partnership holds special significance for the 2025 Little Telethon Stars and their families.
This year’s young heroes — Paige McIllree, Jordan Blair, Izzy Miller, and Xavier Summers — were treated to a memorable VIP experience.

Their magical night at Crown included a stay at the luxurious resort, exclusive VIP tickets to the show, and a meet-and-greet with the cast.
“I enjoyed the show and really liked the bright constumes, dancing and the music,” Jordan said.
“I loved being able to see behind the stage after the show and meeting Belle and the Beast.”

The collaboration builds on the strong, existing relationship between Disney Theatrical Group and Telethon, which saw a similarly successful fundraising initiative during the Perth season of Aladdin the Musical several years ago.
This is a wonderful opportunity for Perth families to experience one of the world’s most beloved musicals on its final run, while helping to make a difference in the lives of WA’s vulnerable little ones.
