Karlgarin: Man dies after ploughing into a tree in Wheatbelt

A man is dead following a horrific crash in Karlgarin, about 300 kilometres south-east of Perth, on Tuesday.

It is not yet clear when the crash happened, however a white Ford Courier utility towing a trailer was found crushed next to a tree on Kondinin-Hyden Road near Spurr Road about 7.05am.

The driver, a 67-year-old man, died at the scene. He was the only occupant in the vehicle.

Major Crash investigators are conducting an examination of the scene and are appealing for any witnesses.
