Fremantle show no signs of stopping as they look for an incredible 15th straight win against a GWS side ravaged by injuries.

The Dockers have gone in unchanged for their clash in the capital, while the Giants will field two debutants with Max Gruzewski and Brent Daniels joining their growing injury list.

They have also rested Phoenix Gothard and Leek Aleer as Fremantle look to extend their adavantage at the top of the AFL ladder.

Whitfield out

The Giants’ star man has been ruled out of the match with concussion.

Whitfield was huge in the second term but a late elbow to the head in a marking contest by Darcy has ended his day.

The Dockers have failed to capitalise on the breeze and the Giants have taken advantage.

Fremantle have been scrappy exiting their defensive 50 and it’s allowed the Giants to put pressure on with repeat entries.

The home side have now turned around the disposal battle and are winning it quite clearly and lead clearances 24 to 16.

Whitfield is the big difference for GWS with a huge term but he will face a concussion test after a big accidental elbow from Darcy in the final marking contest of the half.

Worner leads Fremantle with 17 disposals.

Big battle

The match-up to watch at the moment has been Cox on Cadman.

The pair are fighting tooth and nail in the Giants forward line.

Cox has had a few nervy moments but has held him off until now.

The Freo defender was caught behind the young forward and a sizzling entry puts the ball on his chest.

The young man can’t finish the work though which would have given the Giants a two-goal lead.

Something in the water?

Something big is brewing in Tasmania.

Just check out the job the Demons are doing on Hawthorn at half time!

Snap dat!

O’Driscoll’s nack for special goals are back!

The ball dribbles out to him in just inside 50 and in one movement he gathers it and snaps it nearly 45 metres through the goals.

It gives Freo the lead back.

Ser-wrong

Caleb Serong is a step off his best today.

He has fired multiple handballs without looking and his usually clean hands have deserted him.

It may or may not have anything to do with Tony Greene niggling at him.

Serong did cop a Greene elbow to the chin while laying a big bump on the Giants skipper.

QT: Greater Western Sydney 33, Fremantle 31

The Giants made the most of a slow start from Fremantle with the breeze helping them get the ball deep into their attacking 50.

But the longer the quarter went the better Fremantle played.

Voss gave away a late 50-metre penalty for wrestling with Greene that allowed the home side to get the lead back but the Giants could be blown away in the second term.

Bolton has been marvelous with 11 touches, two clearances and four tackles.

Ton up

Pat Voss pops through his first to give the Dockers the lead and it’s the 100th between him, Tracy and Amiss this season.

The forward line is deadly and they will be loving the Dockers using the ball at nearly 90 per cent effciency.

It comes they start to completly dominate the disposal and midfield metrics.

GWS 26, FRE 31

It’s a breeze

The Giants made the most of the wind favouring their end as the Dockers made a sleepy start in Canberra.

However, it has not taken long for the visitors to get back on top.

It’s started with Young who provided clean hands and disposal in a scrappy coast-to-coast break to hit up Treacy for a goal.

The Dockers then got the next clearance through a crafty kick from Darcy and get a 50-metre penalty to get the margin down to one point against the breeze.

The Giants need to stay on them.

GWS 20, FRE 19

Split the middle

The Giants got a swift two-goal punch in but Jackson gets the Dockers underway with a very nice goal on the run.

There are no other ruckman in the AFL that can be trusted to take a handball in transition like Jackson.

He always does something special with it.

GWS 13, FRE 7
