Fremantle players are enjoying a well-earned break ahead of the club’s mid-season bye this weekend, with many soaking up their time off in the South West.

The Dockers put an exclamation point on their best-ever start to a season with a 124-point thrashing of North Melbourne at Hands Oval in Bunbury on Saturday, the team’s 12th consecutive win.

Cult hero Pat Voss and fellow forward Sam Switkowski were among the players who opted not to return to Perth, heading down the highway to Yallingup and Margaret River with their partners.

Veteran utility Corey Wagner spent time with his wife Michaela and son Remy in Margaret River, visiting premier local winery Vasse Felix among other local favourites.

Captain Alex Pearce made the road trip to Denmark with ruck coach Sam Naismith, with the latter posting a photo of the rugged-up defender at local pub The Dam.

Injured vice-captain Caleb Serong, who is set to return to the line-up post-bye after missing the past three weeks with a calf injury, posted a “photo dump” on social media which included a picture of Broome’s Cable Beach Club.

Star midfielder Hayden Young, who made a successful return from concussion against the Roos, also provided an update on Instagram, revealing his newly-completed deck, thanks to the help of his father.

Following the break, Fremantle will come face-to-face with the only side yet to defeat them this season, hosting Geelong at Optus Stadium on Thursday, June 18.

The Dockers coughed up a massive first-half lead in round one to lose by 10 points to the Cats at GMBHA Stadium in round one but have not lost a game since to be outright favourites ($3.75, according to TABTouch) for the premiership.
