AFL: The Hawks fell just short of third but sealed top four with a big win over the Eagles to round out the home-and-away season.
The Eagles were hoping to avoid an 11-game losing streak to end what was once a season of promise but didn’t come close to troubling the visitors.
Co-captain Liam Duggan missed for the Eagles with injury while premiership hero Jamie Cripps was given a farewell at halftime after calling time on his decorated career.

FT: West Coast 45, Hawthorn 107
The home-and-away season is over and for West Coast fans they will breathe a sigh of relief.
The Eagles finish the year with 11 straight losses and never looked like troubling the top-four Hawks.
Murdock and Kelly get a tick for today but the rest of the team didn’t show much and will be in for a big pre-season.
For the Hawks, they came close to the big win they needed to jump into third but will now come back to Perth and take on minor premiers Fremantle in the first week of finals.

It’s off
The Hawks miss and now need four goals in four minutes without the Eagles getting another major to jump into third.
It appears they will be coming back to Perth for a qualifying final.
