Terry Alan Madgwick revealed as education worker accused of assaulting 15-year-old girl at school

The education support worker accused of assaulting a 15-year-old student on school grounds earlier this year has been revealed as Terry Alan Madgwick. The 51-year-old, who was a teacher’s assistant at Bunbury Regional Community College, appeared in Bunbury Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, charged with aggravated common assault. It is alleged Mr Madgwick assaulted the teenage girl during school hours on February 17. Bunbury Regional Community College is an alternative high school for Years 10 to 12 students who struggle with mainstream learning. The school has a small cohort of just 120 pupils. The court was told Mr Madgwick had already engaged with a lawyer to receive legal advice and the matter was adjourned to October 10. It is expected Mr Madgwick will enter a plea to the charge during his next appearance, although Magistrate Linda Keane advised he may be convicted in his absence if he does not appear on the next occasion.
