East Kimberley College celebrated NAIDOC Week with a range of activities, talks and art sessions. Activities were designed and presented to all classes throughout the school last week, which involved creating posters, banners and sharing stories. Some of the sessions including throwing fishing nets, making friendship bracelets and cooking damper.Primary school-aged students got in on the celebrations with activities such as ochre painting. Alena Birch, Kate Dwyer, Caleb Conder, Sara Ripps, Rhaylene Birch and Katrina Boshammer all helped out with the organising while Aboriginal and Islander education officers and school based attendance officers conducted class presentations.
